Other interests

My work on sounding and listening has always been in dialogue with practices of attention in visual cultures as painting is my favourite medium. I think with different modes of sensing, drawing on highly abstract forms of expression, and at the same time carefully considering different types of materials.

Art, film and theatre have always been integral to my life in immersive volumes. I find great inspiration in London’s galleries, regular encounters with various European and American museums or only occasional visits to art centres in e.g. Japan or Australia.

I enjoy experimenting with media and technology, and drawing. I must be surrounded by music, often embrace a DIY attitude and practise movement languages.

Finally, I am committed to just and ecological thinking and living, the latter of which I keep learning more about from my sister Ula.
